The Society of American Business Editors and Writers (SABEW) and the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE) are pleased to offer this year’s one-day Personal Finance Reporting Workshop in New York on Thursday, October 8, 2015 -- before the start of the SABEW Fall Conference at CUNY.

The SABEW-NEFE Personal Finance Reporting Workshop will offer insight into the most relevant personal finance trends and secrets of the industry. Expect to come away from this collaborative setting with innovative story ideas, an understanding of research initiatives in behavioral finance, an assessment of the future of personal finance, and new industry connections.

The workshop will be held at the TKP New York Conference Center in midtown Manhattan.

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Bloggers and business journalists are increasingly working together to cultivate content and share ideas, but how can they benefit from each other on a deeper level? Hear bloggers’ strategies on how they are monetizing their sites and increasing followers; such tools could be effective in the burgeoning world of digital journalism from more traditional outlets. Regardless of outlet or site, personal finance writers must harness online news gathering tools while maintaining legitimacy in the field.

Big questions covered:

• What are some ways in which journalists and the personal finance blogger community are benefiting from each other?

• What does the future hold for these communities and how can we continue to support each other?
